Contemporary: When Our Eyes Met
9/19/2014
In Traditions: Pretty Pastels , I talked about how I opted to continue wearing the baju kurung during Eid.
However, on the fourth day of Eid, which was when we were travelling back to Ipoh, I decided to wear this 2-piece outfit from When Our Eyes Met, designed by Min (Putri Yasmin Ramli), my cousin in-law who had recently got married.
The Tekoru Top and the Next Door Skirt are two separate pieces. The top is cape-like, super flowy and the drapes fall and hang nicely as the top is beautifully crafted. The upside of this top is that it is loose and it compliment the body. It also looks amazing when paired with jeans! The downside is that it is short, so I have to wear something inside for modesty. The skirt is pretty cool too. I like the fact that the skirt is skilfully crafted. The drapes fall evenly on both sides.
I paired the skirt and the top to look somewhat like a baju kurung but much edgier. I like to don this kind of look from time to time because I love the rocker chic look. I also like to remind people that I'm 20 by donning these pieces.
This time, though, I wore the a floral shawl just to make the look sweeter since it's during Eid and I was at my grandmother's house. I wore my usual shawl style. It takes less than a minute to wear! Do check out my tutorial! (Click here)
