Teh Tarik For The Soul is a laid back program by DnT Bureau of LAWSOC, known for their sharing sessions. In the coming week, the Husband and I are invited to be the speakers at the session on early marriage. We do see it as an honor. However, we are very reserved in our opinions because we are a very different kind of couple compared to the usual early married couples in IIUM:

We do not encourage nor discourage early marriage.

Putting all jokes aside, I have been asked numerous times about juggling marriage and studies. While I have drafted numerous blogposts in response to FAQs and the challenges of early marriage life, I have failed to post any due to fear of offending anyone.

But after taking a lot of jabs and snide comments, we've decided to speak at the session. I will tell you the details on Instagram when everything is confirmed.

When I received the invitation to #Nuffnang8irthday , I had a moment of panic. The dress code was The 60’s. And I had no idea what to wear. And since I had exams, I only thought about it the night before.

The 60’s fashion is a huge range: The little black dress with pearls made famous by Audrey Hepburn and shift dress ala Twiggy. There are also the midi flare skirts, capes and tweed jackets. Patterns that were famous then include plaid, stripes and polka dots.

Being a hijabi, I decided to go with the flare skirt and cape because it’s much easier to cover up that way. Unfortunately, the cape I wanted didn’t arrive on time. Instead, I hung the cardigan on my shoulders like a cape.

The past three weeks has been super hectic for me. The moment I landed home, there was no rest for me. Everyday, I had futsal practice and classes. The tournament IIUM Sports Carnival ended last night with my team, Mahallah Nusaibah, placing third. Alhamdulillah, after our hard-work, we improved from the last time by one placing.

I also had the most gut-wrenching presentation in PIL and (not so scary) in Usul Fiqh II. I was nervous especially for PIL because the text book we refer to is written by Prof. Ghafur, my lecturer. I was not as prepared as I should have been because when you leave for classes at 8AM and come back after futsal at 1AM, you tend to sleep instead of doing research.

But, of course, in between classes and futsal, I do everything else. Like last Saturday, I went to District 21 at IOI City Mall. Friday, I had an assessment with 1MDB. To be honest, this has been the busiest weeks of this semester but it doesn't seem like it's going to slow down.

Last Thursday, I was invited to SOFAT Graduation Fashion Show 2015 at Black Box, Publika by super talented graduating student, Ros Haziqqah.

I just realised that stylebysya.com has passed it's one year mark last month! For my assignment with A Talent Academy, I have to write and direct (and maybe even ACT) in a short film. Basically, the film has to have a message or value, addressing a current issue among youth. We will be producing a series of short films, directed by different talents each. Everyone has their own team and theme. 

The theme for my assignment is "Over-sharing on social media, but fake."

I've always wanted to go to Paris with the Husband and have a dinner date at 58 Tour Eiffel and then walk along the Seine river. So romantic! Our time has yet to come. Instead of my dream, we just stayed in KL and had fun enjoying our time together as we had a very busy schedule and also Ebby and Sha 's wedding was on our anniversary as I said on Celebrating #EbbySha 's Wedding on Our Anniversary.
