Hijab Fesyen Magazine has featured me in their column called Blogger Sukses (Successful Blogger) in their December 2014 issue. It's a 4-page spread interview about my life and this blog! I was super surprised when the magazine contacted me because I do not feel like I'm up to that level just yet, especially since the blog only started February 2014. It hasn't even been a year! But I am very grateful to the Almighty to have blessed me with this opportunity and so much more.

I know. I know. I didn't have a blog post last week and I broke my promise. I'm sorry, guys. Being in Law school takes up so much of my time I'm just going insane right now. I've been busy, super busy climbing trees, doing volunteer work (in the middle of the night) , John Legend's concert, a fashion show, and a few photo shoots which I should blog about but I can't yet. Let's just say that you'll see me in a magazine. That's it. You're not digging any more from me, OK. Just be patient. I promise I will share with you all that I can when I can.

Maleficent is the Mistress of All Evil, a villain, in Disney's Sleeping Beauty. And the movie, whereby Angelina Jolie portrays her is now out in cinemas! Have you seen it? I really want to go, but I'm in the middle of my finals. No spoilers please! I'll be heading towards the cinema first thing after my paper.

In feeling the excitement, I decided to do a look shoot where I have similar looks but changed up the accessories and mood to portray both the evil villain and the sweetie-pie princess Aurora.

Princess Aurora is blonde. So I wore a light yellow scarf. The gold belt is tied at the back, reminding me of the concept of corsets as it is to enhance one's figure. Then, there's the big princess skirt. The skirt is called a Belle skirt. As in Disney's Beauty and The Beast. It's designed to be voluminous and fluffy, fit for a princess, like Aurora. 

Maleficent wears an all black attire when she comes to give her 'gift' to Aurora in the movie, except for her very bold red lips. I love how bold it looks. Black and red. The volume of the skirt helps in giving the evil witch flare.

I'm wearing the exact same thing in both looks. Just the colour of the belt and shawl was changed. And eyeliner. You can't have the evil look without the eyeliner!

Eja, Safiyya's journalist had contacted me to talk about as well as model High Waisted Jeans as a hijabi. I was very excited as this was my very first interview as a fashion blogger as well as my first time giving out fashion tips to the outside world.

The interview was done in Hotel De ART, Shah Alam and the fashion shoot was done at the lakeside nearby.

I was so nervous when Eja introduced me to the 2 models, Juliani Jabar & Fatin Amalina as they are gorgeous. And I'm...me. 

Anyway, everything went well. I hope. We had to wear 2 different sets of outfits each and I styled them. It was super fun and amazing. I am very thankful to be given the opportunity to share my passion for fashion with Safiyya TV9.
